The American Kickboxing Academy ( AKA ) is a martial arts gym based in San Jose, California. It is one of the pioneering schools of mixed martial arts ( MMA )

 

AKA is the stomping grounds of five UFC champions. Cain Velasquez, former heavyweight champion; Daniel Cormier, former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion & UFC Hall of Famer; Luke Rockhold, former middleweight champion; and

Khabib Nurmagomedov, lightweight undefeated champion & UFC Hall of Famer; & Islam Makhachev, lightweight champion

all trained at AKA.
